I can't believe it's actually snowing here on the west coast! We've actually had a wonderful winter, and I've actually felt a little guilty while hearing all about the terrible winter most of Canada and the US have had! Well, I guess it's our turn, now. So Nichole's challenge to create something "spring-like" is a welcome one.
So I made two Easter cards, for my granddaughters, using Polka Dot Parade. The first card is on clear card stock, and is therefore a little sturdier for her two-year old hands. I don't think the butterflies will last very long, though...
And this one is for my 8 yr. old granddaughter, also using "Polka Dot Parade #1", along with "Tag Sale #8" dies and Lavender Moon cardstock and design paper.
I used some of the Marvy "Snow Marker" on the bunnies' tails, which puffs up when you heat set it.
This card used "Doodlie-Do" stamp set. I've been enjoying colouring with these stamps, which are framed with the "Fabulous Frames" die. I used pastel, spring colours, such as Aqua Mist cardstock and Sweet Blush patterned paper.
Here is one last card, using my new stamp set from PTI, Feather Finery. The sentiment is from WMS Fancy Feathers. I watercoloured the feathers after embossing them with white powder, using Aqua Mist, Spring Rain, Blueberry and Lavender Lulu inks. I didn't have any sequins that matched so I used some Copics to colour some "Moonstone" sequins. The patterned paper is from a variety pack of PTI, but the name is no longer with the package.
I love your flowers. They are so pretty. The first card is my favorite though with the big bunny tail and the butterflies.
ReplyDeleteLove all of these, but I am so envious of your Doodlie-Do skills!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! And heat set puffy tails? How cute is that?!?
ReplyDeleteThe bunnies, the butterflies, the flowers- oh, these are all just GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteThe bunny cards are all so cute.
ReplyDeleteWow so many great cards in one post! Your bunny cards are adorable and all of your cards are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteAdorable collection of cards! That snow for the bunny's tail is just so cute!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable cards- Irma
ReplyDeleteLove all of them! Great job...
ReplyDeleteLove your little bunny scene - awesome "soft" feeling, even tho the colors are so fun and vibrant :)
ReplyDeleteSo enjoyed your lineup of beautiful Spring cards, Kathryn. They're so lovely, and well done! And loved your story about your cards in the hands of a 2 year old granddaughter. My 2 year old grandson dissected a shaker card I gave him last year! Fortunately rescued said grandson before we needed to make a run to emergency!
ReplyDeleteThese are all so sweet and pretty! I especially love the design of your last card with the feathers!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun and cute Easter cards! And you, too, are an enabler of the Feather Finery. Didn't think I needed it, but it's moved up on my wish list.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely cards!! I really like the feather card but those easter cards are the sweetest!! Fabulous design!!
