Oooohhhh....Loved the idea for this challenge! I do have difficulty leaving white space, so thought this would be a good challenge to enter.
I used "Zappy Birthday" for my card, and quite like how it turned out. I confess all the white space was kind of bothering me, though (sigh--just couldn't leave it alone), so I added a strip of washi tape to the bottom edge, and then stamped the zig-zag above the row of white "thing-me-bobs"... What do you call those..."star bursts"?? I also popped up the main image on some dimensional squares, for some added "POW"! (I wish this stamp set also included a "Pow!", and a "Bam!" They would have been fun stamps to put in the star-bubble, too.)
All stamps and card stock are PTI. Thanks for looking!
And here's a close up of the dimension.
What a great card Kathryn! This would be perfect for a little boy (or tomboy??). :0)
ReplyDeleteOh this is a wicked cool card! You're right a POW and a BAM (think the old Batman show) would be AWESOME! I love the colors you used too, they really do POP!!! Well done!
ReplyDeleteI love it, Kathryn! It's so graphic and punchy. Zappy Birthday is one of my favourite birthday sets. I've used it on every single birthday card I've made this year so far (!) so I also would love some add-ons.
ReplyDeleteSuper fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a perfect set for this challenge! Awesome card!
ReplyDeleteYou rocked this challenge, Kathryn - love this Zappy Birthday card. The color definitely pops!
ReplyDeleteTurned out superbly :) I break out in hives if there's too much white space. But I like how you added the lightening bolt in red, the washi tape -- it makes a big difference, huh? I still am not comfy with CAS. But this is super!!! Bam! Pow!
ReplyDeleteVery snazzy! Love the simplicity of this card, but it definitely packs a PUNCH! ;)
ReplyDeletelove it- the phrase really stands out.
ReplyDeleteawesome card! of course, i'm partial to this set!! if you have the dies, bam and wow are part of the die set. but if you really want to stamp them instead of layering the die cuts, you can cut them out of fun foam and stamp with them - just a thought. thanks so much for playing!!
