OCC Watercolour Backgrounds using Friskit

I am not too happy with how this turned out... I will try it again using a flower stamp, so hopefully it will be more like Jennifer M's gorgeous cards! I painted Friskit over the lighthouse, then chose some dark washes to apply overtop. There were actually 3 blues and a purple, but I guess I over-blended them. I put a small crystal on the light in the lighthouse, and cut two triangles of design paper to simulate the light's beam. The more I look at this, the more I think it will not be kept. Live and learn...
Stamps are from Gina K designs.
Thanks for looking!
Edited to add: I couldn't leave this card the way it was, so I coloured in the stamp with watercolours, too, and added some stars in the sky, and a few waves, with white gel pen. Maybe I will keep it, after all...

  1. Great card - watercolor backgrounds would be great for masculine cards and you did a great job with the masking!

  4. Ahhh sweet! I didn't feel anything wrong with the first one. But I can hear what you are saying. Then I saw the second one and BAM - you went from very pretty to extremely fantastic! Great job, Kathryn!

  5. Your first was fine, but the tweaks made it something really special.
