Make it Monday #173: No Outline Watercolour, No. 2

I actually started this card the other day, but finished today, knowing that it would fit in with the current challenge at Papertrey Ink. I used my new stamps from the "Beautiful Brushstrokes" kit, and my PTI re-inkers to colour it. The leaves were done with Gelatos (my first effort), but I'm not sure I like the effect... I diecut some leaves and put them on top, and coloured them with Gelatos as well as inks. A little better, but the outline is still too visible. I thought Gelatos were supposed to dissolve in water!? (Maybe I need to gesso the paper first?) I think I'll stick to watercolour paint, and inks!
PTI products used are the stamps, leaf and flower dies (Beautiful Brushstrokes), and cardstock.

Thanks for looking, and I always appreciate your comments!

  1. This turned out beautiful! I finally played with my kit for the first time last week, and it was harder to do than I thought...Betsy and the other DT members made it look SO easy! You look like a seasoned pro with this card though...great job!! :0)

  3. Kathryn, I don't know what you are complaining about. This card is beautiful. It has a lot of depth with the different layers and the way some of the leaves are light and some heavy. Just perfect.
