Make it Monday #173:No Outline Watercolour

Heather showed us how to do a "no outline" watercoloured card today, but I guess I had the wrong type of stamp. If I had "no" outlines, then the whole shape of the sweet peas would have been lost. So I ended up painting in the lines! Sure hope that still fits in with the challenge...

All materials are PTI, unless otherwise noted.

Stamps: Year of Flowers: Sweet Peas
Paper: Spring Moss, Lavender (GKD)
Other: Stitched Rectangle die (L'il Inkers), Watercolour paints

  1. GORGEOUS, Kathryn! Sweet Peas are MY flower (April BD), and I love them anytime. But I adore how you colored them! Love those 'water' droplets too!

  10. this is lovely!! I had to paint in lines too on my project. It would have looked funny if I didn't. However, you cannot see the stamped lines and I think that was the whole point of this technique. Yours looks like you painted it free hand!! Stunning card!!

  11. I love that Sweet Peas stamp and you did such a great job with the colors! Even watercolor artists use a pencil outline of some sort before they start!

  15. Another beauty Kathryn. And I think adding in the outline of the flower fits the challenge just fine - is is not a stamped outline we see! You really have a gift with watercolor! You could watercolor a set of YOF images and frame them for beautiful wall decor!
